John Ransom
Owner/PresidentHi, I’m John Ransom – Owner and Operator of BrightStar Care of W. Montgomery Co.. I’d worked for over 20 years in management and customer relations for a national retail pharmacy when a jarring personal experience illustrated a new path for me. My step mother needed care and I struggled to find a quality provider. After pressing on through multiple hurdles to get her the care she deserved, I unpacked my experience and became determined to help others bridge the gap in finding quality care for their loved ones. I'm honored to have established an agency that truly cares. Our Care Team looks forward to providing you with the best possible service. -
Melissa Sadler, BSN, RN
Co-OwnerHi, I’m Melissa – Co-Owner of BrightStar Care of W. Montgomery Co.. I’m a Registered Nurse with several years leadership experience in the health insurance arena but my passion is for helping people to remain safe in their homes. I deeply respect our community members and feel empowered as a healthcare professional to help them maintain their dignity and independence. I work closely with the onboarding and development of our Care Team to help deliver the best in care. -
Paula Pezzano, RN, BSN, RN
SupervisorHi, I'm Paula. I have over 30 years nursing experience including certifications in Medical Surgical Nursing, Case Management, Chronic Care Management; experience in Outpatient Surgery Care, Oncology and Supervision of Homecare Nurses and Therapists. I'm most passionate about teaching. When I enter a home I am anxious to explore ways our clients can maximize their independence, age in place and ease the burden of the primary care givers and help clients and families enjoy life within their physical or mental limitations.
Three unique strengths I bring to BrightStar are perseverance, communication, and respect. My perseverance has allowed me to be a stronger person, my communication allows for me to see through the lens of others to diplomatically arrive at a mutually agreeable compromise, and my penchant for respecting others has enabled me to learn from other's varied experiences to forge team inspired patient care - which maximizes benefits for the patient.
I am a firm believer that things happen for a reason. I married and had three children who were school aged when I pursued my Bachelor's degree in nursing. I'm convinced that having obtained my goal of becoming a nurse after I had a family to care for gave me a level of confidence, patience, and empathy I would not have had at an earlier stage of my life. -
Melody Pereira
Staffing CoordinatorHi, I'm Melody. I began working in the health care field 10 years ago. I started off working with kids with disabilities then worked as a patient advocate at a reputable workers' compensation industry provider. Afterwards, I graduated from an accredited nursing school in North Carolina with 120 clinical hours. With my extensive experience I am able to locate like-minded, compassionate Caregivers to help find the "perfect fit" for our clients and their families.
Three unique strengths I bring to BrightStar are patience, compassion, and optimism. I'm naturally a patient person, and when it comes to supporting Caregivers and clients, I always put myself in their position and treat them the way I would want to be treated. Whether it's a simple task or a very complex issue, my goal is to provide attentive service so the individual or family feels cared for and appreciated.
I have always taken the "giver" in "caregiver" very seriously and have therefore devoted myself to the selfless care of all of our clients. I'm dedicated to ensuring the health and happiness of our clients and their families. -
Chelsea Mae Holasca
Client Intake CoordinatorHi, I’m Chelsea. I have been in the customer care field for 4 years. While apt at collecting the necessary information to forward to our clinical team, I am also compassionate when communicating with the caller. This role was a natural fit for my customer care background, and I have enjoyed corresponding with our clients during my tenure here.
A few unique strengths that I bring to BrightStar are my enthusiasm, zest for learning, and being driven to perform. I always make sure to bring a “happy energy” with me to work. Serving our clients and seeing both their strength and their frailty is humbling and has allowed me to view life through a clearer lens. I appreciate each day a bit more and feel compelled all the more to give them my very best.
A few other facts about me include: 1) I am an ambivert who is good in socializing but in love with solitude. 2) I always strive to outdo myself! 3) I am also the sole provider for my brothers, which has made me the strong and loving person that I am today.
