Home Infusion Training in Fairfax, VA

August 19, 2015

Home Infusion Training at George Mason's Health Sciences Program.

In early August, five experienced BrightStar registered nurses attended a half-day session at the University’s Nursing Lab to get up to date on the latest techniques, processes and skills for IV Central Line infusions.  This class was part of an ongoing series of training programs that BrightStar provides its nurses as part of our nationally-recognized infusion and skilled nursing services practice. BrightStar’s Director of Nursing, Theresa Pritchett (first from the left) observed  “As a member of the Infusion Nurses Society at an agency accredited by The Joint Commission, we all recognize that in-home infusions are more convenient for our clients and becoming more common every day.  Making sure our nurses are capable of providing these infusions safely and effectively for all the emerging treatments helps BrightStar honor it’s commitment to providing a Higher Standard of Care.”
