Thanksgiving Celebrations in Conejo Valley Will Be Different This Year

Thousand Oaks and Conejo Valley Families Will Need to Take Precautions to Celebrate Thanksgiving Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic

This year, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is recommending that people modify their holiday plans to reduce the spread of COVID-19. 

It is clear that Thanksgiving will be a little different this year. Americans will travel less and spend less time with family, making it more important than ever that they find some new and creative ways to express what they are thankful for.

Some of the CDC recommendations include:

• Wear a mask
• Stay at least 6 feet away from others who don't live with you
• Wash your hands often

The CDC also states that an older adult or person with certain medical conditions who is at an increased risk of severe illness from COVID-19, or who lives or works with someone at increased risk of severe illness, they should avoid in-person gatherings with people who do not live in their household.
