HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A CAREGIVER?
I have worked 5 years as caregiver, Helping Others is my calling. 
 
WHAT MOTIVATED YOU TO BECOME A CAREGIVER AND WHAT ASPECT OF YOUR JOB ARE YOU MOST PASSIONATE ABOUT? 
 
I am passionate about being in a caregiver position because it allows me to encourage independence, and at the same time gives me the opportunity to help the client when they need assistance.
 
WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR OTHER CAREGIVERS?
 
My advice to other caregivers… "the more you give of yourself, the more you get back".
 
TELL US YOUR FAVORITE CAREGIVING MOMENT/STORY?
 
My favorite caregiver moment is when I was preparing a client for bed and she looked up at me and said "Barbara, you’re my best friend", that pretty much says it all.
 
HOW TO YOU RE-ENERGIZE?
 
I re-energize by painting (I am an artist), gardening, and taking long walks with my dogs, and having alone time.
 
A FEW WORDS ABOUT BARBARA FROM HER CLIENT:
Barbara provides immense help with my mom, and she helps with everything around the house. She helps my dad to be able to get out of the house daily.
She is just outstanding.  She shows concern in everything that she does on a daily basis for my parents.
We appreciate all the help that she gives and the compassion she always shows.

Barbara is one of our most reliable, conscientious, dedicated and thoughtful caregivers.  She has managed a challenging couples’ case flawlessly and proactively attending to every need and detail for both Clients, each of whom have very different circumstances and care needs. We want more caregivers like Barbara!
