Barbara at BrightStar was fantastic. She was very helpful in rapidly organizing care for my Father in-law. Our caregiver Perla was amazing. Immediately we loved her. Extremely knowledgable. Perla showed such empathy and thoughtful care within 2 hours of my phone call. She was at the beside of our father in-law when he passed. I am extremely grateful for the care she provided in those final hours .

My adult daughter is severely delayed and nonverbal. She has a difficult time with transitions and becomes anxious and will shut down or lash out (Scratching, hitting kicking others). She was in an adult day program but she was not engaging in activities (continuing education, art, or physical therapy). BrightStar Provided me with two human angels. The first angel is named Bonnie H., she is the person I first spoke to out of the Westlake Village office. She listened intently, was empathetic and sent me a second angel named Crystal to be my daughter’s one-to-one aide while she is at her adult day program. Crystal has the heart, skills and patience to work with nonverbal adults with special needs. She worked hard to gain my daughter‘s trust, and now my daughter is able to enter the classrooms and is participating in activities (singing, dancing and painting) that she didn’t do for many months before Crystal came. Before Crystal, my daughter was hitting scratching and pulling hair of the staff that were there. That Behavior is almost gone. Crystal deeply cares for our daughter. My daughter is happy to see her every weekday. I know my daughter is safe with Crystal and she enjoys her time in program because of Crystal. My daughter is with peers and interacting, and that means the world to us. The peace of mind we have and how much our families hearts are lighter is a true blessing. Thank you, Bonnie. As a man with severe cerebral palsy, I need a caregiver for day-to-day personal essentials like: grooming, showering, and feeding. Last month, my primary caregiver went on a 3-day vacation. So, we contacted Bonnie Hendrickson at BrightStar Care. She provided two caregivers and an L.V.N. Shout-out to caregiver Hilda for being eager to learn, and anticipate my needs. And a special shout-out to L.V.N. Abiela Flores for giving meds and breathing treatments. But, Abiela went above & beyond when a minor issue arose. I'll definitely be using BrightStar Care again!

For anyone who requires care seven days a week, one of the biggest stresses is wondering whether your caregiver will actually show up. Obviously, caregivers don’t work every day, so I’m grateful that Heather, at BrightStar Conejo Valley, has put together a great team to take care of me. I would like to recognize my caregiver, Merica, who helps me a significant percentage of the time, for the incredible job she’s doing. She is the definition of stable and reliable – I never have to worry. While one of my other primary caregivers has been out on leave, Merica has stepped up in a huge way to fill the gaps in my schedule, covering both morning and evening shifts as needed to ensure I’m always good to go. Beyond her dependability, she is also highly competent and safe, which is most important to me. She knows what she’s doing, works diligently, and the many extra little things I often ask for are never a problem. Merica does it all, and with another caregiver away, she’s been that much more of a godsend! Who likes to deal with a moody person? Definitely not me! That’s why I’m so appreciative that Merica is always happy and in a good mood when she walks through the door. She additionally has strong morals, fits in well with my family, and even gets along great with my pit bull. It’s a huge relief to have someone so skilled, trustworthy, and likable from the BrightStar team. She is an exceptional caregiver with an outstanding work ethic, professionalism, and integrity. Over the many years I have employed caregivers, she stands out as the very best I have ever had. Jackie is consistently reliable, punctual, and easy to communicate with. She is always accessible and responsive, and she frequently goes above and beyond—often helping on short notice without hesitation. Her work is extremely thorough; nothing is ever left undone. She is highly competent, experienced, and completely trustworthy. As a quadriplegic with complex needs, my personal safety is paramount. Jackie handles my care with exceptional skill and confidence, and I have never once felt unsafe in her care. Her professionalism and attention to detail provide complete peace of mind. In addition to her caregiving skills, Jackie is neat, organized, and an excellent cook. She is wonderful with animals, treats my home with respect, and integrates seamlessly into daily routines. She consistently asks what more she can do and approaches her work with genuine dedication and care. Jackie is everything one could hope for in a caregiver—dependable, compassionate, capable, and of the highest integrity.

Erena is nothing less than an outstanding caregiver! I am beyond grateful to Brightstar for providing such an exemplary sourec of comfort of my elderly mother, recently discharged from the hospital. Erena's maternal warmth, intelligence, genuine care & interest in my mother's welfare & health, is evident every minute of the time she spends in my mother's company. My mother absolutely loves her, feels seen, regarded, & respected. I award her nothing short of 5 stars.

Lauren has been our nurse for a while and she is great! No pain when she puts in the needle and she’s very friendly. Happy with her :)

Norma was new to helping take care of my mom in the two weeks before my mom passed away. She immediately understood what my mom needed, even better than the two caregivers that had been helping my mom for several years. She took exceptionally good care of my mom when she needed more help than ever. Even though we also had hospice, Norma provided more empathy and emotional support to both my mom and our family than anyone. She was with me and my mom as my mom passed, and I honestly don’t know how I could have gotten through that day without Norma… not just because she was “somebody there,” but because Norma is extraordinary. -Susan

I reached out to Bright Star Care very last minute to arrange for in-home care for my dad who is a cancer patient. Everyone at Bright Star was so helpful and professional. Barbara, Hailey, Kaitlyn and the rest of the office staff were very prompt with reaching out to me every step of the way to coordinate care, insurance info, and to give updates. The caregivers they sent to take care of my dad were also all amazing; Samaria, Jonathan, Linda, and Ngobile all went above and beyond helping my dad get everything he needed to be comfortable. Because of my dad’s condition he is very disoriented, has a lack of appetite, can’t cook or clean or walk his dog. They took care of everything and followed instructions to a T; they helped him get dressed, do laundry, change the bedsheets, prepare meals, sweep/vacuum, and feed and walk his dog (who is not a very easy dog to deal with). We are so happy with the care my dad received that we will not hesitate to use Bright Star’s services again
