Of course, it happens during the holidays! Normally, I have two caregivers, but one took off to Mexico for three weeks, and my other one – my caregiver from BrightStar – suddenly became very sick. Had this happened during any other time of year, it might not be so bad, but I require a very high level of precision care that absolutely cannot be met by an average caregiver. Thankfully, I contacted BrightStar years ago for my caregiving needs. Their dedicated admin department, most notably Heather, has worked diligently and tirelessly to ensure my caregiving needs are seamlessly covered. To keep my anxiety in check, Heather has also kept me fully appraised, often well past normal working hours, of who is coming and when they will be arriving. Her outstanding work is allowing us to enjoy this holiday season. Now, you’d be right to think that, under the circumstances, my care would be subpar – but you would be wrong. Dead wrong. Case in point: BrightStar caregivers Eileen and Jesse stepped in/up to care for me – They have been nothing short of outstanding. In a single shift, they learned my detailed morning and evening routines including the safe and precise operation of my electronic wheelchair, electric Hoyer lift, and shower chair – complicated and none very intuitive – to care for me safely. While safety is paramount, efficiency is a close second. Why? Because I have a life to live, a family, and responsibilities, also the longer my caregivers take, the worse I inevitably feel when they’re finished – these directly impact my overall quality-of-life. Eileen and Jesse are not only quick, they require minimum input from me – continuously directing a caregiver and constantly repeating the myriad of tasks and small details quickly gets old and saps my energy. Heather, Eileen, and Jessie’s monumental and selfless efforts have exceeded my expectations. Their dedication coupled with their reassuring, positive can-do attitudes, and always pleasant demeanor counts, in my book, as a Christmas catastrophe – averted!

Just wanted to pass on some praise for Stephanie Hernandez. She is outstanding and very sorry our schedules conflict going forward and we will miss her very much. My wife loves her wonderful care. Just a later update (12/2024) to my original review we have a newer caregiver Olga Osuna that is just outstanding with warm and terrific care for my wife. She is just great. Great staffing BrightStar.

Destiny was my twins Caregiver for the day and she was absolutely wonderful.

We had Timothy work with us at our facility and he was on top of his game! Great guy with a great energy and was ready to face whatever tasks.

I am adding to my review below. I totally recommend Brightstar Care. They have been such a helpful partner in navigating senior living and home care. Their concern for their clients starts at the top and runs through every person, especially the people hired for the job. Gina has been our home care aide and she is fantastic. She is a friend as well as care-giver to my mom, who has with some short-term memory problems. Plus, Gina is always attentive to her safety. I cannot recommend Brightstar Care enough. ❤ BrightStar Care has brought me peace of mind for my elderly parents. The office personnel are informative, quick to respond, and caring. They explained a lot about home care and home health that I did not know. Plus, the person they matched to my parents, Gina, couldn't be nicer! Gina is super attentive to my dad as he transfers from walker to chair and vice versa. She is unobtrusive in the home but quickly jumps on any tasks that need to be done. I am relieved and pleased to have this support by Brightstar.

My Caregiver was Tyris Terry 1. Always on time 2. Always helpful and courteous 3. Watchful to ensure I am safe and had a safe environment 4. Provided excellent companionship and support through the healing process 5. Was very helpful with laundry, light cookings, cleaning and provided great pet care.

Our experience with BrightStar and our Caregiver, Bryann, has been excellent. The Caregiver/Care-recipient relationship is highly personal and is usually only sought out in precarious situations, making it all the more important. BrightStar matched us with exactly the right Caregiver for my Mother-in-Law and our family. We look forward to seeing her everyday!

Having an out of town wedding is stressful. Having your 89-year old mom cared for by watchful, caring staff was everything we had hoped for. Arlene R showed up on time and appropriately dressed for both the rehearsal dinner and the next day for the wedding. She quickly connected with mom and myself (with the long list of requirements) giving me confidence that mom would be in good hands over the next two days. This included driving mom back to the hotel, staying with her and ensuring she received her meds overnight. After I first contacted BrightStar, Barbara W contacted me and was clear their capabilities and costs. She arranged for a call once Arlene accepted the assignment, giving me confidence in both the office coordination and in Arlene's professionalism. Thank you Arlene and thank you BrightStar team.
