  • Tammara Brown

    Co-Owner
    I am the Co-Owner of BrightStar Care of Salt Lake City. We employ more than 70 members of our community, and I enjoy working with this award winning team to help patients and families by meeting their needs with a higher standard of care. With my background in accounting and over 15 years as a CPA, my primary responsibilities are to manage the overall business, the day to day business operations, business development as well as the financial operations and sales.

  • Alex Brown

    Co-Owner
    Besides home care, Alex has made a 25 year career in management consulting helping companies improve supply chain and operations performance. He brings this experience to BrightStar Care by improving our processes and the service experience. He also leads strategic projects such as growing new services and managing our forward-looking company planning. Alex holds a BS in Finance and an MBA from the University of Utah.  He is a lifelong resident of the Salt Lake City area and enjoys taking advantage of all the outdoor activities it offers.

  • Kris Yarrington

    Director of Nursing and Operations
    Kris has over 15 years of diverse experience in the healthcare industry, having worked in a wide range of nursing positions, including in the ICU, Emergency Room, Acute Rehab, Case Management, Operating Room, Aesthetics, and Home Health/Hospice settings. His clinical expertise is complemented by over 10 years of business leadership experience, where he has successfully combined his healthcare knowledge with strategic management skills.

    Kris has also contributed to academia as an adjunct faculty member at Weber State University in the Health Sciences department, sharing his practical insights with the next generation of healthcare professionals.

    Driven by a passion for helping others, Kris is dedicated to ensuring the growth and success of BrightStar Care, where he strives to maintain its position as a leading provider of skilled homecare. Through effective business management, strategic vision, and a focus on employee education and development, Kris is committed to the long-term success of both the organization and the community it serves.
  • Debbie Unruh

    HR Director
    Debbie is a people person and loves her role as HR Director!  She looks forward to every interaction with our staff of Aids, CNAs, and Nurses.  Debbie is continuously impressed by the caregiver hearts of our field staff, and their ability to step in and provide services in a caring and compassionate way.  It is Debbie’s ongoing goal to hire the best and brightest in our community, to find those who live our core values, and to provide for them a topnotch employee experience.

  • Kamille Barney

    Client Care Manager
    Kamille is the Client Care Manager of BrightStar Care. She does most of the scheduling and helps with any issues around the office. Kamille has a BS in excercise physiology from BYU Idaho. She has always wanted to work in the health care industry. Kamille has over 5 years’ experience working in home care. She also has 7 years’ experience of being a CNA, so she can relate to our staff. She loves working with our staff members and clients and seeing the difference we make

  • Erica Swager

    Client Care Manager
    Erica is the Client Care Manager of the Personal and Companionship clients of BrightStar Care, Salt Lake City. She has a passion for helping the people around her and over a decade of experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant in various settings but has a special place for memory care. Erica enjoys being able to cultivate a safe space for open communication with the clients and staff, as well as meet them in the field to support them when needed. Outside of work, Erica parades her dog, Mr. Spotaloticus (Spotts) around town as often as possible.
  • Christy Buskirk

    Payroll and Billing Specialist
    Christy handles all payroll and billing for BrightStar Care Salt Lake City. She has 13 years experience billing in the healthcare industry. Before that, Christy worked in animation. We don't know what we would do without her! In her spare time, Christy enjoys making beautiful stained glass creations, and hanging out with her family.
