The Owners' Story
My inspiration to open BrightStar Care came from watching the struggles of my uncle, who lived alone, had many health complications due to diabetes, could no longer drive, and had an extremely hard time with daily household tasks such as cooking and laundry, due to significant loss of eyesight. With no one to help he was forced to do his insulin injections himself, and struggle with public transportation, all very difficult when you cannot see well. I knew there had to be a better solution, and fortunately for all our clients here in Richmond, I found it.
Our mission is to not only provide all those services my uncle so desperately needed, but also to do it at the high quality and service level that we have become known for providing in the now 13 plus years we have been serving the Richmond community. We can do this because of the tireless dedication to quality of our team, and continually remembering the impact we have on the lives of each of the families we serve.
Prior to BrightStar Care I worked as a CPA, and then spent a decade managing the development of new home communities for a national builder who also placed a priority on doing it right. Among my chief responsibilities were to ensure that customer needs were met, customers were satisfied, and employees were taken care of, all of which continue to be top priorities for me here at BrightStar Care.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife, my three boys, and my golden retriever. I also enjoy playing golf, working on projects around the house, and traveling.
