January is Alzheimer’s Volunteer Month
Start 2019 Off Right, and Go Support The Williamsburg Alzheimer’s Association
Get Involved, Make A Difference...Volunteer!
The Alzheimer's Association counts on some 35,000 volunteers nationwide. Consider becoming a volunteer and help achieve a world without Alzheimer's disease while optimizing quality of life for people who are affected by the disease. Whether you can spare only a couple of hours or weeks or make a more significant time commitment, we hope you will consider joining this very special community.
Alzheimer’s Association caregiver support groups, conducted by trained facilitators, and are a safe place for caregivers, family, and friends of persons with dementia to:
- Develop a support system.
- Exchange practical information on caregiving challenges and possible solutions.
- Talk through issues and ways of coping.
- Share feelings, needs and concerns.
- Learn about community resources.
