World Awareness For Alzheimer's Matters in Portland Too

2 out of every 3 people globally believe there is little or no understanding of dementia in their countries. The impact of World Alzheimer's Month is growing, but the stigmatization and misinformation that surrounds dementia remains a global problem that requires global action.

Currently, more than 65,000 people in Oregon are living with Alzheimer's disease, and over 184,000 family and friends are providing care. In Washington, more than 110,000 people live with Alzheimer's with 341,000 providing care.
