About National Nurses Month:
In 1993, the American Nurses Association declared May 6-12 as the national week to celebrate and elevate the nursing profession. National Nurses Week is a time for everyone – individuals, employers, other health care professionals, community leaders, and nurses – to recognize the vast contributions and positive impact of America’s 4 million registered nurses. In the past, the celebration ended on May 12, Florence Nightingale's birthday. Now the entire month is dedicated to celebrating our nurses. As part of the "Year of the Nurse and Midwife" celebration, the American Nurses Association has expanded National Nurses Week to a month-long celebration. This gives us all May to "expand opportunities to elevate and celebrate nursing."
BrightStar Care of Portland provides 24/7 to Hourly Private Duty Health Care and Medical Staffing Services and is always looking to hire qualified medical students for home health care careers.
