BrightStar Care of Portland Celebrates National Caregivers Day

We recognize our dedicated Portland home care staff for their heroic efforts during the COVID-19 Pandemic!  

Our caregivers have provided a higher standard of care to those most vulnerable during the coronavirus pandemic. This February 19th, BrightStar Care Portland will recognize and honor all of our hard-working staff who have been on the front line providing care during these challenging times.  Thank you!

National Caregivers Day is celebrated this year on February 19th to acknowledge the critical role of caregivers. We know that sometimes caregiving is unexpectedly thrust upon someone suddenly. It is a role guided by the heart and done out of love, with the patient's best interests at heart. 

Caregivers can be overlooked when a patient's concerns are the top priority. Because a caregiver's role is essential, we want them to know we appreciate their patience and compassion. We want to use this critical holiday to acknowledge and thank those who have offered themselves selflessly to their loved ones in hopes of providing comfort and support. Thank you to all Caregivers! You deserve our respect and unwavering support.

Here are some suggestion to help you celebrate and thank caregivers:

• Say "Thank You".
• Write them a letter or card to express your gratitude.
• Offer your help.
• Give them a gift (flowers, spa gift cards, whatever they like!).
• Give them the day off.
• Make sure to remind them to take time for themselves.
• Donate to an organization they care about in their name.
