U.S. News and World Report Presents South Florida’s Best Hospital Rank To Cleveland Clinic Florida
U.S. News and World Report ranked 65 hospitals in the South Florida metropolitan area, including Broward, Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade counties, and the Cleveland Clinic came out on top.
According to the Sun Sentinel’s Ron Hurtibise, “This is the second top ranking in three years for the Weston-based hospital, which also has locations in Fort Lauderdale, Coral Springs, Parkland, West Palm Beach, Wellington and Palm Beach Gardens. Cleveland Clinic Florida is nationally ranked in two specialties — gastroenterology and gastrointestinal surgery (25th) and orthopedics (42nd). It was ranked high-performing in cancer treatment; diabetes and endocrinology; geriatrics; and neurology and neurosurgery.”Cleveland Clinic Florida was also ranked as high-performing for nine common conditions and procedures, including abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, aortic valve surgery, heart bypass surgery, heart failure, colon cancer surgery, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, hip replacement, knee replacement, and lung cancer surgery. The hospital was ranked fourth statewide with Mayo Clinic Jacksonville, Tampa General Hospital and UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville.
