Congratulations to Our Best and Brightest Nominees 2024

October 23, 2024
Congratulations to our nurses and caregivers who were nominated for Nurse and Caregiver of the Year at BrightStar Care of Scott & Carver Counties. We are proud of our wonderful nurses and caregivers who make a difference by demonstrating an inspiring level of compassion and dedication to our clients and their families across the Scott & Carver Counties.

Join us in congratulating our wonderful Caregivers and Nurses! Ahna and Angela R.M. were nominated for Caregiver of the Year and Abby RN was nominated for Nurse of the Year by going above and beyond when caring for our clients. Ahna, Angela R.M. and Abby have been members of the BrightStar Care family since 2023 and 2020.

“Abby is an extremely friendly and approachable professional providing complete services to help advance the mental and physical well-being of my mother. … Abby's professionalism speaks volumes to the trust she gains almost instantly upon meeting her for the first time and beyond. She is truly an asset to Brightstar, and we hope to see her again upon our return to your service area in the fall!”

“Ahna is a bright young girl, very passionate about her work. She is willing and able to do many tasks. She mainly gives great personal care to my husband, helps me with some household tasks, and allows me to be away to do errands while she is here. She is cheerful, helpful and shows great interest in us and others. We're very happy she is our caregiver.”

“Angela was bright and friendly from her first visit. She continues to be cheerful despite a client that needs a great deal of care and attention... Angela deserves the highest of accolades due to her cheerful disposition and very close attention to detail and my husband's needs. She is very aware of blood pressure fluctuations and what he is capable of doing, based on the day. She has proven herself to be extremely capable of handling difficult situations and has the training and common sense to deal with whatever comes along, without panic or anxiety. Beyond my husband's care plan, Angela sees needs without prompting…She is also very attuned to verbal cues to explain what she is doing, which makes the process much more tolerant in the face of cognitive difficulties. Not only is she a caregiver, but she is a friend! … When my husband is unable to stand, Angela adapts without a hitch and brings the care to him where he is. Not only does my husband love Angela's quiet and cheerful care, but I enjoy having her to visit with while she takes care of his needs. She is a sympathetic ear in a difficult situation as my husband's health deteriorates…”
