More than 80% of ALL BrightStar Care of Salt Lake City employees have received at least one COVID-19 Vaccination.
Announcing BrightStar Care COVID-19 Policy Changes as of April 2021:
FULLY VACCINATED STAFF
- No testing if exposed to COVID-19 person unless COVID-19 symptoms
- Continue to routinely wear masks to visit all clients.
- Can receive BSC permission from the office to get rid of masks when visiting fully vaccinated clients
- No need to social-distance/mask in private small-group office meetings when all staff are fully vaccinated
- Do not need to quarantine or get tested if exposed to COVID-19 UNLESS symptoms appear
UNVACCINATED AND NOT FULLY VACCINATED STAFF
- Unvaccinated and not fully vaccinated staff will test 2x weekly – every week.
- Staff with one vaccination are required to complete the 2nd vaccination within eight weeks of first shot. The exception is the one-shot J&J vaccine.
- Unvaccinated and not fully vaccinated staff will continue to mask in the client’s home for the foreseeable future.
- Unvaccinated and not fully vaccinated staff will continue to test and quarantine for any COVID-19 exposures.
Vaccination appointments ages 16 and up are open wide in Utah!
All BrightStar Care employees and their families are strongly encouraged to get vaccinated as soon as possible. Our staff is eligible to receive the vaccine in three counties. Read about that here:
Here’s how to fully vaccinate:
- Use the system in Salt Lake, Utah, or Davis County.
- Schedule your appointment
- Get vaccinated
- Send a photo of your vaccination card to the office at 801-559-3999
- Get a second vaccination if you recevied Pfizer or Moderna (J&J is only one shot)
- Send a second photo of your vaccination card to the office, if needed
- Two weeks after your last shot, you are FULLY VACCINATED

- Staff and clients with symptoms
- Unvaccinated staff and unvaccinated clients with direct exposure
We have two types of testing:
- Binax Antigen Fast Test 15 minutes read time
- PCR Test – processed at the State Lab with 24 hr – 72 hr turnaround
