Innovation is where it is at in a pandemic. We all need to play it safe. And we
need, at times, to improvise. Our shining star story of the month is Caroline Peterson. She couldn’t get her face shield to work so she just went over to the Dollar Store and bought blue glasses, popped the lenses out and twist tied her face shield to the glasses. Perhaps she should market these during Covid. There are others that could benefit from this inexpensive creative solution. Way to go Caroline!For ongoing education and training during COVID-19 our field staff gathered on a warm summer evening in July for an informative class on Huntington’s Disease. Pictured to the right is Becca Post, our presenter from the University of Utah’s Movements Disorders Clinic. She runs the Huntington’s Support Program for patients and families for the state of Utah. Huntington’s Disease is a genetic neuro-psych disorder that is progressive and fatal, and all sufferers eventually need full time care. We may be called on soon to provide care to Huntington’s patients.
