How does BrightStar Care of Salt Lake City staff the best homecare agency in the state of Utah: Training, training, training!
Training increases competence and makes us all shine regarding the care of clients.
It has been a long pandemic, but with over 94% of all BrightStar Care staff now vaccinated, it was finally safe to return to in-person staff training again.
Pre-pandemic, BrightStar Care traditionally held in-person staff training (in-service) quarterly for all employees, with dinner and other fun. On May 27th, the first in-person in-service since early 2020 was held with a good-sized attendance of staff.
A dinner of pulled pork sandwiches, salads with fruit, and homemade chocolate chip cookies for dessert was provided. Masks were required for unvaccinated staff and were optional for vaccinated staff.
Clay Watson (pictured), PT from Western Summit Rehab, was our guest speaker, providing great tips on how to avoid falls.
For those who couldn’t attend, those great tips were emailed out with a quiz for completion of this in-service. For more training opportunities, see the training calendar for June-July in this month's newsletter.
