Essential Business Support for a Salt Lake Medical Tech Company

BrightStar Care of Salt Lake City is working for a medical technology company that develops, manufactures, and sells medical technologies used in vascular therapy, oncology, and critical care applications. The company has locations within the US and internationally. The local branch manufacturing plant is in West Valley City and employs about 500 persons who work on assembly lines and produce IV equipment, pumps, and other vascular access supplies.

Our Client has been screening their staff for COVID-19 regularly, and though the team knows they are to be symptom-free and not quarantined when coming to work, as of March 30th the company  enhanced those instructions with temperature checks as staff enters the building for their shifts. BrightStar Care nurses and CNAs are contracted to do this screening, and our team is provided extensive PPE pictured below and trained in infra-red temp screening. Our BrightStar Care team will give temp checks for AM and PM shifts for the next several weeks/months. Thanks to all our staff helping in the fight to stop COVID-19 and support the screening to aid in the protection of employees for essential health care companies.

BrightStar Care on-site COVID-19 screening services are tailored to each company’s needs, including:

• Interviewing employees with health screening questions
• Taking vitals such as temperature
• Documenting employee answers for HR files
• Screening staff at the beginning of their shift
• Providing risk assessment in accordance with CDC classifications (low, medium, high)

Each assignment is conducted by either an RN or LPN.
