Senior Services Consultant In addition to managing the BrightStar office, local owner Ignacio Céspedes is a part-time faculty member of the University of Phoenix Health Care Administration program. With a PhD in electrical engineering, Ignacio started out as a biomedical engineer, earned several patents for medical devices, and published over 40 peer-reviewed scientific articles in the medical arena. Desiring more direct contact with providers and patients, he earned an MBA and transitioned to marketing and business management, serving as a senior executive at three Sacramento-area medical device companies and consulting for medical technology companies across the U.S. and around the world. BrightStar gives Ignacio the opportunity to personally and directly focus on patients and providers in our own community.
