Nurses are a critical part of each BrightStar Care team. As such, one of the BrightStar Care brand standards is to have an RN oversee every case. We do this as part of delivering “A Higher Standard of Care” to each and every one of our clients. As nurses are such a critical part of each of our care teams, BrightStar recently developed the Nurse of the Year program as a way of honoring nurses from across the country, not only for their hard work and expertise, but also their truly unique desire to make a difference. As stated by Sharon Roth Maguire, Chief Clinical Quality Officer of BrightStar, “they are often the voice for those who cannot speak.” She goes on, “they will stand up for what is right in the face of great adversity often at their own personal or professional consequence. They take their regulations and practice acts very seriously to ensure the right thing is done and all patients receive the care they deserve and that the businesses they are involved in do not suffer the consequences of a bad decision.” BrightStar Care of Richmond would like to introduce their very own Director of Nursing, Barbara Bailey, RN. Ms. Bailey has been with BrightStar Care of Richmond since 2011. Bringing over 40 years of nursing experience to her patients, Ms. Bailey oversees the care of all clients for the BrightStar Care of Richmond office, maintains an integral part in the hiring of caregivers and nurses, and ensures that the care of our clients is being provided in accordance with those high BrightStar brand standards. With a staff of over 60 CNAs, LPNs, and RNs, and over 70 clients, she certainly has a lot to keep her busy.
