Online Learing Brings Bright New Ideas to BrightStar
We are so excited to introduce Elsie, BrightStar Care of Plano / North Dallas’s Electronic Learning System & Information Exchange! Elsie is a web-based online learning system for healthcare workers, managed by Elsevier/ Mosby.
Elsevier/Mosby has been a trusted resource in healthcare education since 1906, and we are thrilled to be partnering with a company that has been driving the standard of care for over 100 years. Elsie is full of important information, useful tools and tips, and lots of opportunities for brushing up on old skills, as well as learning new ones!
Elsie is our employee's new go-to online spot for training, annual competencies, and important announcements. When a client that requires special training, that training is now be loaded into Elsie for their caregivers to access and implement. Elsie will also alert employees to upcoming renewal dates, like CPR renewal or TB expiration. Additionally, Elsie will hold important resources, like the Employee Handbook, Brightstar Care of Plano / North Dallas’s Policies & Procedures, Exposure Control Plan, and other documents employeess need to reference.
Elsie the Elephant is our new Online Learning mascot. She is featured on the site, as well as in emails from Brightstar Care of Plano / North Dallas. You never know what Elsie will be up to, but you can be sure that, like all elephants, she never forgets...to provide excellent client care!!

At BrightStar Care, our Registered Nurse Director of Nursing leads experienced, trustworthy, compassionate caregivers who provide a full range of services in the comfort and safety of home. Our Caregivers are fully screened, insured and bonded, certified and/or licensed. We provide Medical Staffing, In-Home Care, Companion Care, and Personal Care for Elders with Alzheimer’s or Dementia. We also provide Home Child Care, Sitter and Nanny services for Children and Support for New Mothers. We Support Veterans and accept most Long Term Care Insurance benefits, provide Hospice Care, Live-in Care, CNA, Caregiver, RN, LPN, RN Supervision, Compassionate Care, and Compatibility Guarantees. We are an ALS Society partner and Alzheimer's Association member, and also provide care for developmentally disabled individuals and those of all ages with mental health and behavioral health diagnoses. Other services include Safe Discharge and Transportation from the hospital or rehab facility, both short term and long term Post Op care, Pre Operation and Preparation help and assistance, and Client Monitoring for out of town family members.
