While doctors diagnose illnesses and prescribe medication, surgery or other treatment, it’s often nurses who explain medical procedures, help manage symptoms, respond to emergencies, listen to family concerns, allay patient fears, soothe worries and find ways to make difficult situations bearable.
A nurse’s mission is not only to save lives, but to promote and preserve quality of life.
We are very grateful to have an exceptionally compassionate Director of Nursing at BrightStar Care of Phoenix/Tempe and want to recognize her during National Nurses Week for all her contribution and commitment to providing our clients with a higher standard of care.
Meet Betty Klebanoff, RN
I have over 30 years of experience as an RN, graduating with a BSN from the University of North Dakota and with a Master’s Degree in Management and Organizational Behavior from the University of Phoenix. My focus has always been in Healthcare Management within various healthcare settings.
With 30 years of nursing experience I have seen and done a lot. My experience has been as an ICU nurse, medical surgical nurse, hospice case manager and DON, hospice administrator, and Compliance officer. With every position I always gravitated to a leadership role. Management has been a focus for me for over 20 years working with staff to mentor them to great successes and helping each organization achieve and maintain compliance with today’s tough regulations. I am also a “roll up you sleeves” manager quickly handling any problems and always putting the patients’ needs first.
At BrightStar Care® I get to interact with our clients in a one on one setting, taking the time to listen to their story and give them the confidence that at BrightStar Care they don’t have to worry about anything because we are there to help carry their burden and make life easier. I strive to deliver A Higher Standard of Care for our BrightStar Care® clients by being available to our clients 24/7 to answer their questions and solve problems. I also feel that I relate well to the BrightStar Care staff letting them know that I am a support person for them and they know they can count on me. Together we provide our clients with the confidence that they can remain independent in their homes, wherever that might be.
