Our Staff at BrightStar Care® Northern Lexington

Ryan Bethay is the BrightStar Care of Northern Lexington Owner & Director of Nursing. He is a native of Mississippi where his family still resides. He was a college cheerleader for the University of Alabama until he enrolled into nursing school at Shelton State Community College. Following graduation, he went to work in a MICU at DCH Regional hospital in Tuscaloosa, AL. While working he recieved his BSN from the University of Alabama. Ryan met his wife, Tucker at UofA, through the cheer program. Together, they have 3 children.

Ryan worked as a nurse for almost 10 years in various ICU settings and management roles at the University of Kentucky hospital. He left his role as the Cystic Fibrosis coordinator in Novermber of 2023 to open BrightStar Care of Northern Lexington. Ryan is also pursuing his Master's degree in Executive Leadership at the College of Nursing at UK. He is set to graduate in May of 2024.

In his spare time, Ryan is spending time with his wife and three children. He is also the assistant cheerleading coach at UK. 



Victoria Plymale is the Branch Manager for BrightStar Care of Northern Lexington with 8 years experience in management and administration. She specializes in organizational skills and making sure all the day to day needs are met. Victoria is a Lexington native and attended the University of Kentucky. In her free time, Victoria enjoys spending time with her husband, Mark, and is always planning her next trip to Disney World!



Sandy Bennington is the Sales Manager for BrightStar Care of Northern Lexington. Sandy has long been a passionate advocate for patients and health care organizations in driving long-term, mutually rewarding partnerships. An accomplished business development leader with 20+ years in health care, she has developed a passion for seniors. She is a proven leader in business development, account management, recruiting and contract development. Sandy’s bottom line is to assure the patients receive the quality of care they deserve. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren.
