Certified Medical Assistant / CMA Job Duties include: Medical Assistant:BstarGroup •  Assist Doctor in the exam rooms •  EKG •  Intake of patient - vitals, history, etc. •  Call backs to patients with results per Doctor's instructions •  E-RX/prescription renewals •  Prioritize test results as they arrive to the office - develop an understanding for stat attention, priority attention, etc. by Doctor and staff
Front Desk: •  Oversee and manage the flow of communication into the office to include phone calls, faxes, mail, messages, and other •  Coordinate patient check in and registration during patient hours •  Collect and be accountable for co-payments •  Assist with patient check out/scheduling/orders/E-RX's •  Phone calls - messages, appointments, etc. •  Manage the day to day office appointment schedule as well as the other appointments (Doctor's meetings, lunches, etc.) •  Manage referrals to the office •  Coordinate mailing of correspondence to referring Doctors •  Process copies and needed documents for the other medical offices, chart copy requests, life insurance copies, etc.
General: •  Understand and be able to perform jobs and responsibilities of the other staff members to assist/fill in if absent, etc. •  Other as determined by the Office Manager and Doctor •  Willingness/ability to learn the EHR system
Position Requirements: Certified Medical Assistant / CMA Job Requirements include: •  Must have graduated from a 2-year associate degree program in medical assistance accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). •  Must have current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credentials •  At least 1 year experience •  Proof of eligibility to work in the US •  Reliable car / auto insurance •  Clean background and criminal record Join a leader in the home health care industry.  Each independently owned BrightStar Care location makes more possible for the community and clients it serves.  If providing compassionate, high quality care is your passion, BrightStar Care has an opportunity for you.
