Virtual Workshop: Senior Housing Options in the Age of COVID
DATE: Thursday, November 19, 2020
TIME: 7:00 – 8:30 pm
This workshop will provide a comprehensive overview of choices. We will discuss the pros and cons of independent living; assisted living; nursing homes; living with your loved one; and hiring private care – including the issues of social isolation and protection from COVID-19. Individual questions will be encouraged and addressed, as appropriate, including possible resources for further assistance.
About Our Facilitator:
Our speaker is Lucille H. Deutsch, CALA, CMC. Lucy is a certified geriatric care manager with LHD Eldercare Solutions and a member of the Steering Committee of the Caregivers Coalition of Morris County. She has been a caregiver to two generations of her own family and is passionate about advocating for the highest quality of life for the aging population and those who care for them.
Due to grant restrictions, in order to participate, you must be a caregiver, and either you or the person you are caring for must live in Morris County and/or:
- 60+ years old or
- caring for someone who is 60+ or
- caring for someone with Alzheimer’s disease or a related disorder or
- 55+ years old and caring for a disabled adult between the ages of 19 and 59
