I have been in the nursing field for over 16 years. I realized my true calling in 2008. Before then I taught in Desoto County Schools as a Special Education Teacher for 7 years. I knew as a child growing up that helping the elderly and those in need was my calling. I remember as a child that if I saw an elderly person who needed help, such as picking something up or having trouble getting out of the car, I was always trying to help them. I have worked with Baptist as a Nurse Coordinator, in Human Resources at Kirby Pines, at Amazon in Human Resources, and found myself at BrightStar in 2021. I started as an assistant manager and worked my way up to Branch Manager. Since 2021, I have seen BrightStar grow and accomplish so much, and I am so happy to be a part of this organization. My favorite things to do are going to church, fishing, traveling with my friends, spending time with my family, and loving on people who love me back. My biggest gift from God is my little girl, Joye, who has made me the person I am now. I love this field, I love making a difference in people’s lives, and most of all I live by BrightStar’s Core Values: being open and positive, serving with passion, doing the right thing, doing what I say, and most of all, I always try to make it great.  
 

I have over 11 years of experience in the healthcare field, with a strong background in medical office operations. I earned my education at Concorde Career College, specializing in medical office administration, including coding, billing, insurance, and front desk management. This diverse training has prepared me well for the dynamic challenges of a healthcare setting. Currently, I work as an insurance specialist and HR manager for BrightStar Care, a wonderful company that prioritizes compassionate care. In my role, I take pride in helping our clients access the support they need and ensuring they feel valued and cared for.  
 
On a personal note, I’ve been happily married for 14 years to my wonderful husband, and together we have a beautiful daughter who inspires me everyday. Their love and encouragement fuel my passion for making a difference in the lives of others.
