Meet Daniel Kane

Daniel Kane is the friendly face that welcomes BrightStar Care of Lubbock visitors as they enter our office. On our team, Daniel supports our human resources team and oversees our ministry efforts. Many of our team members immediately recognize him for his weekly calls asking team members, “How can I pray for you?” What many don’t realize is that Daniel is the inspiration of BrightStar Care of Lubbock.

When Daniel was born to BrightStar Care of Lubbock owners, Lonny and Heather Kane, God opened a new chapter as Daniel was born with Spina Bifida. As Lonny and Heather researched companies to provide home health services it became clear that Daniel’s birth was just the starting of their new chapter. Through their love for Daniel, BrightStar Care of Lubbock was born. Read Lonny and Heather Kane’s full story here. Daniel has never allowed his diagnosis to stop him and he continues to inspire our team today. October is Spina Bifida Awareness Month and Daniel is using his story to raise awareness about his diagnosis. Throughout this month we will be supporting Daniel’s efforts through a variety of fundraisers and awareness campaigns and we want your help. 

Daniel’s Events

Daniel has set up a GoFundMe page to raise money to be donated to the Spina Bifida Association and we encourage you to donate. Other fundraising and awareness activities:

• September 29th - October 1st: 4 Megapass Fair Tickets on Facebook

  • ANY donation gives you a chance to win tickets to the South Plains Fair

• October 4th-8th: Facebook Gift Basket Raffle

• October 11th-October 31st: Pick-a-Square Fundraiser

• October 29th: Trunk or Treat
