Over the last month our team worked to meet a goal of $1,000.00 donation to the Children’s Miracle Network. We are pleased to announce that we exceeded our goal! The BrightStar Care team raised money through hours of work donations, purchasing jeans passes and closing out with our first Karaoke Night.
Karaoke Night invited the South Plains community to sing their hearts’ out, participate in outdoor activities and face painting. Over 100 attendees clapped along and sang to crowd favorites while supporting the Children’s Miracle Network.We continued our support at the Children’s Miracle Network Telethon. We worked as envelope stuffers, phone answerers, guest greeters and all around go to volunteers for anything needed. It made for a long weekend but we were thankful for the opportunity to serve an organization that does so much for our community. This was our first year supporting the Children’s Miracle Network as an organization and that happened because one of our team members shared her passion.
Children’s Miracle Network holds a special place with one of our team members. Shyla is a Miracle Parent who has volunteered for the organization since her daughter overcame a type of pediatric cancer. She also serves our clients as a customer care supervisor. Pediatric home health is the heart of BrightStar Care so when asked to support Children’s Miracle Network we couldn’t say no!
We would like to thank Shyla for her leadership and willingness to invite our team to be a part of her passion. We would also like to express our gratitude for Team BrightStar and the Lubbock community for helping us exceed our goal.
