As a Client Relations Manager at BrightStar Care with over 25 years of healthcare experience, I am dedicated to advocating for the aging population through dementia education and bridging communication gaps between adult children and their aging parents. I connect families in need with community service providers, driven by the principle that everyone deserves access to optimal care. I hold a Certified Dementia Practitioner certification (CDP) and lead several local support groups. Outside of work, I enjoy kayaking and tending to my herbs and plants.

Christina comes to BrightStar Care with 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry. She has held various roles in Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living communities during this time, where she found true meaning in working with the geriatric population. She looks forward to her new journey with BrightStar Care as the Director of Client Relations for Medical Staffing, and being a part of this team.

After caring for my parents, I felt a calling to obtain my CNA License to continue the rewarding task of caring for others. I enjoyed many years as a professional CNA caring for different clients in their homes. I was honored to be hired as the Operations Manager of BrightStar Care of Leesburg in 2018. During my time at BrightStar, I have helped develop a team of compassionate, hardworking individuals that have driven the growth and prosperity of our agency. My dedication for high quality elder care and creating a positive workplace culture are my passions. In my downtime, I enjoy spending time with my two daughters, crossword puzzles and being outdoors camping and kayaking.

One thing I have enjoyed most in my life is helping others in need. After obtaining my CNA license, my passion grew at Lake Manassas Rehab, where I worked as a CNA, staff scheduler and administrative assistant. This allowed me to gain an understanding of how healthcare works and how important it is to provide exceptional care to those in need. After starting at Brightstar Care in 2019 as a CNA, I began to learn more about in-home care; fast forward a few years and I now oversee the entire Skilled Nursing Department. The ability to match those in need with a nurse that fits their needs is what I enjoy most about my position. My focus at Brightstar Care is making sure that every client has an enjoyable experience, and their needs are fully met. When I am not in the office, I can be found in the great outdoors with my husband, our three boys, and our three dogs. 

Growing up in South Africa, I was deeply affected by witnessing poverty and my family's efforts to help, which fueled my passion for community service and a career in healthcare. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, I gained extensive experience at Loudoun Hospital, particularly enjoying working with seniors.

Transitioning to homecare allowed me to connect more personally with patients and work in various roles, from scheduling to direct care. Now, as the Director of Client Relations, I focus on ensuring individuals receive the best possible care.

In my free time, I enjoy hiking, yoga, roller skating, playing guitar, and spending time with my husband and two daughters.
