BrightStar Care of Las Vegas is Supporting the Alzheimer’s Association’s The Longest Day
More Nevadans are suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, and the state is projected to have sharp growth in the number of residents with the progressive neurological disorder, according to a new report from the Alzheimer’s Association. Nevada is also expected to see the third largest percentage increase in the United States in its population of people with dementia in the next eight years. Alzheimer’s is the sixth leading cause of death in Nevada (1).
Each year on the summer solstice, which falls on June 21 in 2018, the Alzheimer’s Association hosts The Longest Day, a global movement and team event to raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer’s disease. The Southern Nevada Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association invites the entire community to join the fight to end Alzheimer’s and participate in The Longest Day activities and events happening in the area.
