There are angels among us. Angels care for all of us who need a little extra help in our lives. Angels help us live comfortably in our homes and talk to us when we are lonely.
Angels remind us to take our medicine and make sure we don’t miss our doctor appointments! At BrightStar Care, we call these angels caregivers. Today I’d like to recognize a very special person and caregiver named Peggy Price.
This October 2022, The BrightStar Care Company will celebrate its 20 year anniversary and Peggy will be recognized for her fourteen years of service with BrightStar. Peggy has cared for many seniors and she is beloved and treasured by many families. We asked Peggy some questions about this wonderful achievement and here’s what she had to say:
Tell us about yourself. Peggy – “My name is Peggy Price and I’ve worked for BrightStar Care since 2008. I love BrightStar Care and I love the clients they’ve given me to take care of. When I started, the BrightStar office was about the size of two broom closets and today they’re in a big building!
What did you do before working at BrightStar? Peggy – “ I had worked as a direct support professional at a Residential Home for some time.”
What is the best thing you’ve done as a caregiver? Peggy – “The best thing that I have done is to help my client stay in her home where she has raised her family and where she wants to stay for the rest of her life.”
What is the best part about being a caregiver? Peggy – “The best part that I love is not only my clients but their family members that I get to know and spend time with. Some of my clients families from before still send me Christmas Cards and that just makes it all worthwhile.”
