Jupiter Medical Center and Sylvester Cancer Center have formed a new partnership.
Now Jupiter Medical Center patients have access to treatments, therapies, and clinical trials from Sylvester, which is part of the University of Miami Health System.
According to Sam Howard ( @SamuelHHoward ) at The Palm Beach Post, Jupiter Medical Center now has "formal ties to South Florida's only cancer center with a coveted National Cancer Institute designation." Sylvester received NCI designation last summer and is only one of two cancer centers in the United States and one of 71 nationwide with this certification.
This partnership will boost Jupiter Medical's new Anderson Family Cancer Care Institute status, and it is "an exciting time in the history of Jupiter Medical Center." according to President and CEO, Amit Rastogi. We think it an excellent resource for West Palm Beach Seniors and will give Jupiter seniors easy access to a high standard of cancer treatments and research.
The affiliation with Sylvester will also benefit physicians as well as patients as Jupiter doctors now have access to Sylvester's team of experts, nurses, pharmacists, and specialized technology. Some of the specialized treatments that will be made available are bone marrow transplants, CAR T-cell immunotherapy, and, eventually, proton therapy.
