I am the owner and CEO of BrightStar Care of Huntington Beach & Costa Mesa.  After an extensive search, I invested in this BrightStar agency because the brand values matched my ideas of what a home care company should be doing for its clients.  That was 10 years ago, after watching how beneficial it was for my parents to be able to age in the comfort of their home.

This year, my team and I are celebrating our 10th year of promoting those BrightStar brand values. The success we have is because of them. I am proud of my office team who treat each call from a customer or care staff as an opportunity to serve. I value deeply the work that our caregivers and nurses do in the homes of our clients. We do not take for granted the trust that our clients put in us by letting us into their homes.

I hope to serve as many families in my area of service as I can with quality home care, compatible caregiving and a very high standard of care.

When I'm not working with my team, I enjoy gardening, reading and walking our pups.

I was drawn into senior care because of my grandparents - and the loving relationship I had with them. My journey has taken me from personal caregiving (as a private duty caregiver) for an older lady with MS; to delivering care in a long term facility as a CNA; from Chewelah, WA to Orange County, CA; from caregiving to a CNA role; from acute & long term care to home care.

I have had certifications for CNA, MA, RCFE. I've taught CPR and First Aid courses as well as caregiver training. I've worked directly in all settings from the home to assisted living and memory care; however, my passion is to help seniors have as much joy and independence in their lives as possible, by bringing quality care to as many people as possible. My role here as Community Outreach Liaison lets me do that.

When I'm not working with my team here, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, including my two wonderful daughters and three grand children. I love to travel and enjoy doing things outdoors.

I have been in the home care industry for over 5 years and truly enjoy what I do.

Being of service to others is a passion of mine, and I am grateful that I get to work towards that every day. At a young age, my grandmother fell ill, and I realized the importance of having compassionate professionals around that can make such a difficult time a tad bit easier.

I love being in an industry where we can step in when needed the most, and offer care and peace of mind, for families and their loved ones.

Born in Sri Lanka, having lived in India, Federated States of Micronesia, and the Philippines, I truly appreciate different cultures.

When I'm not working with my team I love travelling with my family.

I joined BrightStar Care of Huntington Beach in 2016. As HR Manager, my goal is to maintain a positive and successful work environment for our team. I currently oversee day-to-day operations, focusing on employee relations and compensation, performance management, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
 
My earlier experience in a fast-paced Family Practice gave me the desire to join an organization where the connection with our clients and their families felt personal. I chose BrightStar Care because the core values matched my own, and this wonderful team exudes excellence in all that they do! Being a student at heart, I am delighted to learn something new from my team every day.
 
In my personal time, I enjoy creating memories with my family by finding new adventures our beautiful state has to offer. We love road trips, from the coastline to national parks. I have an appreciation for nature, music, and poetry.

My passion has always involved caring for others. Working as a caregiver and driver for children with special needs, as a certified nursing assistant, and sales/customer service representative in retail has given me that opportunity.

At BrightStar, I have the opportunity to serve as a caregiver, a field specialist, and trainer/coach. Working alongside others that share my same passion in serving the community truly makes my job at BrightStar not seem like work.

When I'm not working with my team here, I like solving crossword puzzles, singing, dancing, baking, and cooking. And what would life be without music?

I've spent decades of my career in healthcare, including hospice care as a Physicial Liaison and in clinical research as a Clinical Research Coordinator. I worked on the Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine Clinical Trial during the Pandemic.

At BrightStar Care, I am part of a team that supports the community. I try to bring my years of experience with patient contact to helping the team schedule events and contact key personnel in our client base. Our team values strong links with the healthcare community; I work hard to build and maintain relationships with physicians, colleges, medical care schools & skilled nursing facilities. 

When I'm not working at BrightStar, I enjoy dining with friends & family, cooking, reading & movies.
