Hello, all fun seekers in the Cleveland/ Akron areas. We are going to explore Stow Senior Center and their activity offerings. A newsletter subscription is distributed monthly and it can keep you apprised of upcoming events. Or, feel free to find the newsletters online at https://stowohio.org/336/Senior-Newsletter.
Explore different entertainment options such as Mah Jongg every Tuesday from noon to 3pm, Card Games every Wednesday from noon to 4pm, Bingo each 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month at 1pm, Tai Chi, Concerts, and more. The Center has bus trips to locations such as Rubber Ducks, Emerald Necklace Inn, and Concert on the Green.
May and June also have some community events on the calendar. There seems to be a fee for most events. Chair massages occur every 2nd and 3rd Fridays of each month. Just an FYI, no kneeling is required for massages. If you are concerned about your toes, nail and foot care is offered by a certified foot care nurse by appointment. National Ice Cream Day is on June 7th at 1pm, and manicures for seniors is on June 17th from 1- 3pm. Also, on June 17th, same time, there is an opportunity to volunteer and make cards for hospice. There are many other activities available.
Brightstar Care wants to share local information to create awareness about things to do in our surrounding areas. We do not endorse or sponsor any events, but hope to spread a little joy.
