Fall Season Bucket List
Fall season is here and our area is sure get a little cooler over the coming months. Fall also brings a lull in tourism. Cooler days, a less threatening sun and fewer tourists make the season especially good for getting out with your elderly loved one and experiencing some great activities the area has to offer. Here are a few things to consider putting on your fall bucket list:
Bonita Springs Fall Food Festival Saturday October 28th. It’s a ‘smorgasburg Florida style’ food festival with a dozen food trucks offering everything from gourmet burgers to German currywurst. Craft venders, live music and more makes this a great way to enjoy outdoor.
Artisan Marketplace Friday and Saturday November 3rd and 4th. If your loved one is interested in a cultural experience, the Artisan Marketplace is the spot! Nearly two dozen artists and craft artisans will present their original and unique works of art for sale. Admission is free.
Concert on the lawn Saturday November 4th. This is a wonderful music festival for elderly to enjoy the outdoors, local live music and arts and craft vendors. There is a minimal admission fee for this event.
Rookery Bay Art Exhibit through October 27th. Explore the artistic works of more than 30 artists who share their interpretation of Florida’s incredible nature. Admission to exhibition and light refreshments is free but requires that you register here.
Aging Well Expo Saturday November 4th. Tailored to the areas elderly, this expo will include vendors from the medical, legal and quality of life services available to seniors. Although this is a free event, you must register for it here.
SBBU Aging in Place October 24th. Another free event, this is another free and informative event for seniors that will present and discuss the area’s best support services for aging in place.
