Holiday Wrap Up!
T 'was the season of Holiday dashing, and BrightStar Care of Fredericksburg Communty Relations Manager Vicki Shaw did just that!
Dashing from Retirement Communities, Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing facility's spreading holiday cheer.
Mrs. Shaw sponsored a Pie social at The Crossing at Falls Run, Christmas Caroling with dessert at Alexander Heights, Chancellorsville and Spring Arbor. Residents at Bickford, Poets Walk and Cardinal Village were graced with Gospel singing joining in with an all-time favorite- Amazing Grace. BrightStar Care promotes not only giving of your time for community outreach but resources as well. Vicki participated in a Relay for life Wreath fundraisers, helping to raise over $500 with her handcrafted wreaths that were auctioned off at Greenfield of Spotslyvania. One resident bought herself two wreaths and two more for the staff. While volunteering as Santa's helper at Carriage Hill Rehab, Vicki donated gifts for 11 residents on the Angel Tree. Watching the faces of residents opening gifts was the best holiday gift of all, and taking a picture with Santa of course!! It was a busy season and as the New Year approaches we are looking forward to showing how muchBrightStar Care, truly Cares!!
