Every day, a growing number of dedicated nurses care for aging adults and people with complex medical needs inside their homes, administering daily medications, providing relief from the symptoms and stress of a serious illness, and managing personalized plans of care. To pay tribute to the specialized and tireless work of thousands of nurses throughout the network, BrightStar Care launched a national Nurse of the Year program to recognize the nurses who are working hard to deliver A Higher Standard of Home Care each and every day. This year, our Director of Nursing, Jesus Adaniel was nominated. Here is the nomination letter about Jesus: I am going out on a limb….and will get in so much trouble for this if he finds out, but I am nominating my husband, Jesus Adaniel, RN, CRNI, for Nurse of the Year! Every client and patient loves him and can’t wait to see him that they refuse any other nurse, and only want him to provide the care on subsequent visits. Jesus has done (and continues to do) so much for the BrightStar Care brand and the growth, training and development of skilled nursing over all the years we have been with BrightStar Care, that it would be so nice for him to get some recognition. Most of the skilled nursing visit forms were in fact created by Jesus as well as the QA/QI tool being used in many offices across the brand. He has also recently shared with Sharon, a new infusion competency program that Sharon plans on rolling out to the DON’s for use in the near future. We used to have a CM doing all of our 90 nursing reassessment visits in our office, but since Jesus has taken over that role in our office, our NPS has continued to rise and is always above 90%. These are just some of the reasons why I think Jesus is a perfect candidate for BrightStar Nurse of the Year…and I hope you agree too! Thank you so much for the consideration.
