Congratulations to Cheryl Smith our 2016 Solomon Foncham BrightStar Care of Cumming-Gainesville Caregiver of the Year Award Recipient
On January 13, Cheryl Smith was presented with the first annual Solomon Foncham Brightstar Care Cumming-Gainesville Caregiver of the Year Award.
About the Award: Solomon Foncham worked as an LPN for Brightstar Cumming-Gainesville. Solomon was a hard
worker and was beloved by his clients and our office staff. Solomon was a dedicated father of five young children who watched his kids during the day and worked for Brightstar overnight. Sadly, Solomon passed away December 20, 2015 at the young age of 42 after a brief illness. Brighstar Care Cumming-Gainesville has honered his memory be creating this annual award. About Our Winner: Cheryl Smith is very deserving of this honor. She has been with Brightstar for seven years. Cheryl is one of our most dependable employees. She never calls out and is even willing to spend the night at Smoky Springs during snow storms to make sure that there is someone there first thing in the morning to take care of the residents. She always does her job with a smile and never complains. It is obvious that the residents at Smokey Springs feel the same way about her. She received two nominations stating the following:
 “We have had Cheryl Smith as our caregiver for several years. She is the best we have ever had. Cheryl is always on time, cheerful, upbeat and willing to help on any and all tasks we ask her to do. She thinks smart and is smart! “ The second nomination stated, “Cheryl couldn’t be more serious about her work. She is always punctual, has a wonderful attitude, and a rare intelligence. She would be very deserving of your award.”Congratulations Cheryl! |
