January 9, 2019

Congratulations Caregiver of the Year Lisa Webb

Congratulations to Lisa Webb our Solomon Foncham BrightStar Care of Cumming-Gainesville Caregiver of the Year Award Recipient

About the Award:

Solomon Foncham worked as an LPN for Brightstar Cumming-Gainesville.
Solomon was a hard worker and was beloved by his clients and our office staff.
Solomon was a dedicated father of five young children who watched his kids during the day and worked for Brightstar overnight.  Sadly, Solomon passed away December 20, 2015 at the young age of 42 after a brief illness. Brightstar Care Cumming-Gainesville decided to honor his memory be presenting this annual award to a deserving caregiver.

About Our Winner:

Lisa Webb was nominated for Brightstar Caregiver of the Year by the three sons of her client who live out of state.  She is very deserving of this honor as demonstrated by this excerpt from the nomination letter:

“In March 2017, our parents moved into an independent living apartment unit. As you know, such a move can be extremely emotionally challenging, and it was for our parents.
Lisa and our father quickly found out they were both from Pittsburgh which began an informal but enjoyable, dialogue that is ongoing to this day.  She also provided the needed confidence to our mother, which she did admirably, that our father’s feeding, medical and physical therapy needs were very much under control and that our mother could relax and take care of her own needs. That said, it was evident from the beginning that Lisa cared about our father’s well-being as well our mother’s.  Our father and Lisa have developed a trusting and positive relationship.  That was when we realized that we had the “right” person to help our father.
As time has gone on, my father’s and Lisa’s relationship has grown in so many positive ways and my mother has benefited greatly from Lisa’s wonderful support as well. My parent’s friends routinely invite Lisa to attend my parent’s functions with them and is so well liked by them as well.  Whether they are engaging in a game of chess together, or just assisting him with a simple task that he just cannot do anymore, it is evident their relationship and her deep care for our father and our mother is so sincere.  Her ongoing care has given our entire family including us, their three sons who live out of town, great comfort during this difficult time.   We are collectively very grateful for Lisa’s many gifts and heartfelt kindness that she demonstrates every day.”

Congratulations Lisa on a job well done!
