November is Alzheimer's awareness month. BrightStar will be launching our Alzheimer's and dementia course called 
Memories and Connections starting November 8th. Classes will be held every Tue and Thu from 10am-12pm throughout November into Mid December. Once our staff complete the course, they receive professional certification and are Alzheimer and dementia care certified. We are seeing a rise in clients suffering from this debilitating disease, with more than 350,000 new cases diagnosed each year. BrightStar wants to guarantee that our caregivers have the knowledge and confidence to properly care for these clients and their families. These families need us and we are here to help. Through Memories and Connections we will be reminded that although they may forget our names, they will never forget how we made them feel because EVERY act of kindness grows the spirit and strengthens the soul.
