Speaker: Valerie Radu, PhD, LCSW – Valerie completed her doctoral work at Case Western Reserve University in the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences. She holds an MSW degree from Walla Walla University and a BSW degree from Southern Adventist University. She has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Tennessee since 1996. Sponsored by BrightStar Care® Effective assessment of an older adult should be guided by best practices which indicate an integration of both physical health and psychosocial issues. The outcomes form this type of assessment are more positive and long-term both with the older adult and with care providers. Learning Outcomes: 1. Identify key components to an integrated physical/psychosocial assessment from a social work perspective. 2. Identify strategies for modifying or enhancing current psychosocial assessments to integrate a more holistic perspective.
