Milwaukee is home to a large, diverse population of Seniors. Resources from the city, county and state are provided to help support this population of seniors, specifically to help them stay in their home. Here is a list of resources that may be helpful for yourself or a loved one.
  1. The Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC)
    • The ADRC is an all-encompassing resource center to provide accurate and timely information regarding community resources for older adults. The ADRC can provide information about state provided benefits such as Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security and other privately or publicly funded long-term care options.

  2. Milwaukee County Older Adult Transportation Service (OATS)
    • OATS is available to any Milwaukee County residents that are 60 years and older. The service offers transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, voting, senior centers and other wellness programs within Milwaukee County. Rides are $4 each way and must be scheduled 3 business days in advance.

  3. Health and Wellness Workshops
    • Milwaukee County has partnered with the community to offer a variety of wellness and prevention programs to promote healthy living. Please visit the link to view all workshops!

  4. Meals on Wheels
    • Meals on Wheels provides homebound adults delivery of a hot, nutritious meal Monday through Friday at noon. To be eligible for Meals on Wheels, you must be:
      • 60 or older
      • A Milwaukee County resident
      • Homebound
      • Unable physically or mentally to prepare your own meals
      • Home at the time of delivery.
