COVID-19 Vaccination Information for Boulder and Broomfield Counties

The state of Colorado is guiding the vaccination programs in Boulder and Broomfield Counties, although each county may be distributing to different groups based upon vaccine availability.

The Vaccination Groups for Broomfield County are:

Phase 1A -- Highest Risk health care and long-term care facility workers/individuals

  • Hospital workers who have direct contact with COVID-19 patients

  • Skilled nursing facility staff and residents

  • Assisted living/other care stie staff and residents

Phase 1B -- Age 70+, moderate-risk health care workers, first responders, frontline essential workers, and continuity of state government:

  • First responders (fire, police, EMS, correctional)

  • Health care workers testing patients for COVID-19

  • Health care workers with direct patient contact

  • People 70+

  • Remaining populations in Phase 1B (see graphic charts below)

Phase 2 -- Higher-risk individuals and other essential workers:

  • Age 60-69

  • People age 16-59 with disease or who are immunocompromised

  • Other essential workers 

  • Adults who received a placebo during a COVID-19 vaccine clinical trial

Phase 3 -- The general public

  • Anyone age 16-59

As of January 22, Broomfield County is vaccinating those in Group 1A and most of Group 1B (see graphic charts below).

The Vaccination Groups for Boulder County are:

Phase 1A 

  • Focus on hospital and outpatient healthcare workers, and residents and staff of skilled nursing facilities, long-term care facilities, and assisted living faclilities

  • Residents and staff of care facilities will be vaccinated through the Pharmacy Partnership for the Long-Term Care Program

Phase 1B -- This phase focuses on moderate-risk healthcare workers, first responders, other frontline workers, and those aged 70 years or older

  • First responders: this phase is complete. Any first responder still needing a vaccine should contact their employer

  • Moderate-risk healthcare providers: The sign up for this phase is complete. Please complete the Notification Sign-Up and select "healthcare provider"

  • All others: Vaccination locations and availability for all other community members who fit in Phase 1B, including older adults, will be announced via social media and local news. There is no list but residents may sign up to be notified when vaccine is available for their group HERE.

Phases II and III -- COVID-19 vaccine will be made available:

  • From pharmacies through a federal contract with 12 national pharmacy chains

  • Regular health care provider offices

There is no list or required sign-up to receive the vaccine for non-healthcare workers. When and where to get the vaccine will be widely advertised when it is available to residents who fit in Phases II or III, and residents may sign up to be notified when vaccine is available for their group HERE.
