  • Edwin Wudyka

    Owner

    Edwin Wudyka, Owner of BrightStar Care of Birmingham & Rochester Hills, Troy/Royal Oak, MI (BCB), purchased the new private-duty homecare agency in September 2016. He joined BrightStar, the fastest growing Homecare Franchise organization in the United States, after more than 20 years’ experience creating and growing successful service companies, dedicated to excellence. Edwin is the father of two young adult children, and a family person. He is a proud military veteran, having served in the US Naval Reserve Construction Battalions or “Seabees.”  Edwin leads with passion and a commitment to providing consistent quality care for our clients and their families with the highest standards of leadership, adding our third agency territory- Troy/Royal Oak in January 2024.

  • Bobbie Soeder

    Senior Vice President, Business Development

    Bobbie Soeder is the Senior Vice President, Business Development, Birmingham, Rochester, Troy/Royal Oak, MI, joining the “very first team” with owner, Edwin Wudyka in 2016 when BrightStar Care of Birmingham first launched. Sharing over twenty-five successful years’ experience in national and international business, Bobbie continues to serve with passion and integrity for our clients. Bobbie is a devoted team leader and mentor for our outstanding caregivers as well as our nurse leaders who oversee our clients with love, respect, kindness, and professional care every day. 

  • Anna Cole

    Director of Business Development

    Anna Cole is the Director of Business Development, Rochester Hills, and Troy, joined our team in January 2024 after serving in the Senior Community industry for over 10 years. Anna embraced our standards for excellence and continued to grow our reputation of quality in the area hospitals, skilled nursing and rehabilitation, senior communities, hospice and home healthcare agencies and other resource partners, building on a senior resource network of support for the clients she serves. Anna is a devoted liaison for our clients, caregivers, and our team to provide excellence and kindness through communication.

  • Julie Scislowicz, RN, BSN

    Director of Nursing

    Julie Scislowicz, RN, BSN, Director of Nursing for Birmingham, Rochester Hills, Troy/Royal Oak, MI. Julie has worked as a nurse for BrightStar since 2018 and accepted the of Director of Nursing position in September 2023. She oversees the clinical aspects of client care from assessing clients and developing plans of care to overseeing day to day medical questions and concerns. She also ensures we are always operating to BrightStar and Joint Commission Standards. 

  • Vera Bodnaruk, BSN, RN

    Director of Nursing -Senior Communities

    Vera Bodnaruk, BSN, RN Director of Nursing -Senior Communities, joined our team in February 2022, bringing 38 years’ experience to our BrightStar Care, having worked in area hospitals, Beaumont ICU, HFH, CVIU, and Ascension ER. Vera has been our chief field infusion nurse providing infusion services to our clients in their homes. For the past year, Vera has served as Director of Nursing at the Blossom Communities in Oakland Twp., dedicating herself to the Independent and Memory Care clients at Blossom Communities. Vera is deeply compassionate and loving with each of her clients, sharing wisdom and guidance for her team as they serve the community 24/7. 

  • Becky Hutchison

    Director of Education and Training

    Becky Hutchison, Director of Education and Training, has been a part of the Brightstar family since September 2021. She assists with training the caregivers and serve as a Nurse assistant and medical assistant apprenticeship liaison in partnership with Macomb Community College. In addition, Becky also oversees the client care for Brightstar residents living in the award winning All Seasons Independent Senior Living of Birmingham. Becky is an invaluable nurse on our Care Team who shares her skills and years of experience with us all.

  • Toni Wilson, BSN-RN

    Director of Nursing

    Toni Wilson, BSN-RN, Director of Nursing BrightStar Skilled Services, earned her three Bachelor’s Degrees in Health Administration, Science, & Science of Nursing. She is currently the Director of Nursing Skilled Services and has been with our agency since January of 2024. Her current certifications include BLS, ACLS, ENPC, and TNCC. Toni is also Six Sigma Lean certified and trained, where she also trained staff and completed projects taught nationwide. Toni is knowledgeable in Joint Commission Accreditation requirements and state regulations. She loves to research and learn as much as possible. With her two decades of experience in healthcare, Toni is a welcome addition to our overall Care Team with her dedication to clients and all of us.

  • Marcy Loveless

    Branch Manager, Human Resource Manager

    Marcy Loveless, Branch Manager, Human Resource Manager for BrightStar Care. Since joining us here at BrightStar she has worked in multiple departments starting early January 2019. She has a wide range of experience in the medical field, including Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, General Practice and Orthopedics for the past 25 years. She has worked as a Medical Assistant, Surgical Scheduler, and Clinical Manager. Currently with our company she collaborates with clients and employees daily to make sure all their needs are being met. Marcy is passionate about making our clients’ care go as smoothly as possible and that they are satisfied every step of the way. As well as making sure the employees are happy and working in a safe environment. 

  • Joy Goatley

    Office Manager and Acting Scheduling Manager

    Joy Goatley, Office Manager and Acting Scheduling Manager joining our team March 2024. She has been in the medical field for over 30 years. She is a certified Nursing Assistant, and for the past 15 years has worked as a Wellness Coordinator in an Assisted Living Facility, where she did multiple roles. She has also worked in Human Resources and Marketing. Our team appreciates Joy’s tone of professionalism, as she serves with kindness and a caring, steady approach toward us all.

  • Tanisha Beasley

    Admin. Asst. for Human Resources, Scheduling Asst

    Tanisha joined BrightStar four years ago and served as a dedicated and caring CNA (Certified Nursing Asst.), having earned her certification sixteen years ago. Tanisha joined the Administrative inside team in July 2024 and is now assisting our Branch Manager/HR Director and Scheduler in their roles and daily operations. Tanisha is in the process of earning her certification as an MA (Medical Assistant). Our team is proud of Tanisha for continuing to press forward and grow in her skills and knowledge.

  • Melissa Alliet

    Recruiter

    Melissa Alliet is a recruiter at Brightstar. She started in late July of 2023 and is new to the Home HealthCare Field, although she was a primary caregiver to her father. Her previous employment of 29 years as a manager really helps when it comes to hiring caregivers and nurses. In her role as recruiter, Melissa shares that she has already learned so much about home health care and looks forward to what her future here will bring.
