BrightStar Care of Bedford / Manchester is excited to announce the promotion of our RN, Nurse Case Manager, Brittney
Brittney was promoted from Nurse Case Manager to Director of Nursing (DON) in November, 2020.
Here is a note from Brittney:
"I have been in the healthcare field since I was 17. I attended my vocational Health Science program in high school and received my LNA upon completion of this program. I attended Nursing school at Rivier University right after high school and received my bachelor’s degree. I have worked in many different healthcare settings, long term care, ICU, and rehabilitation units. I joined the Brightstar Care team in August of 2018; I chose to venture into homecare because to me it is very important to help keep those we love in their homes and maintain independence. In 2018 my grandfather passed away after a long battle with multiple health issues, my family and I found solace in being able to grant his wish to keep him in his home. He was able to pass surrounded by his children, grandchildren and even his great grandchildren. This experience changed the path I was walking down as a nurse, it made me want to be able to provide that experience to other family. Since joining Brightstar Care I have grown as nurse and person. I look forward to helping more people and touching more lives in my career."
