Human trafficking survivors require healthcare that is trauma-informed and culturally sensitive to their needs. Coordination is needed between health providers and statutory and voluntary organizations.
Attendees will be educated on the legal definition and examples of sex trafficking, the top three ways victims are recruited into sex trafficking, the impact sex trafficking has in Michigan, behavioral characteristics of victims before and after, and physical & psychological methods of grooming victims.
