Christine Teel
Branch ManagerI’m Christine Teel, and I was born and raised in the beautiful state of Alaska. After spending many fulfilling years raising my four incredible sons, I decided it was time for a new adventure. In December 2006, I achieved my Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license, and that’s when my passion for caring for others really took off.
I started my career at the Chugiak-Eagle River Senior Center, where I fell in love with my patients and the work I was doing. It opened my eyes to the real need for compassionate care in our community. I found so much joy in being a CNA, and I knew I wanted to share that passion with others. That’s when I became a CNA instructor, focusing on training new CNAs. Teaching them about empathy and compassion became one of my favorite parts of the job.
As I grew in my role, I realized I wasn’t ready to slow down. Instead of retiring to enjoy being a grandma, I felt inspired to give back even more to Alaska’s senior community. So, in September 2019, I took a leap of faith and bought the franchise BrightStar Care of Anchorage. What started as a mission to provide in-home health services has grown into something much bigger.
Today, we offer a wide range of services, including skilled nursing, wound care, and medication management. I’m so proud of what we’ve built. We’re not just helping seniors with daily living; we’re providing the kind of care that makes a real difference in their lives.
This journey has taught me that it’s never too late to follow your dreams and make an impact. I’m grateful every day for the opportunity to serve my community and to create a warm, caring environment for our seniors. To me, there’s no greater reward than knowing I’m making a positive difference in their lives.

Victoria Doisher
Customer Care ManagerHi, I’m Victoria Doisher, an Alaskan native who has always believed in the power of a smile and a helping hand. Growing up in the beautiful landscapes of Alaska, I graduated from Houston High School in 2018, ready to embrace the world and make a difference.
My journey began as a barista, where I found joy in brewing coffee and brightening the mornings of locals. There’s something magical about connecting with people over a cup of coffee, and I loved seeing the smiles on their faces as I served them. However, I soon realized that my true passion lay in helping those who needed it most.
This realization led me back to school to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). I dove in headfirst, and before long, I found myself as a floor supervisor at the Chugiak Senior Center. It was here that I discovered my calling: caring for the elderly and providing them with the compassion and respect they deserve.
In 2023, I took a leap of faith and applied for a caregiver position with BrightStar Care. From day one, I felt at home. I loved working with my clients, building relationships, and ensuring they received the highest quality of care. My dedication didn’t go unnoticed; I quickly rose to the role of Client Service Manager, where I focus on both our clients and our staff.
I’m passionate about educating my team on how to better serve our clients. Together, we create an environment where compassion and professionalism go hand in hand. Seeing our clients thrive and supporting my colleagues in their growth brings me immense satisfaction.
When I’m not at work, I cherish spending time with my family and exploring the wonders of Alaska. My journey has been shaped by my commitment to service, and I’m excited to continue making a positive impact in the lives of others.
With every day, I strive to bring warmth and kindness to those I encounter, and I look forward to what the future holds.

Amy Goldberg
Patient Care ManagerMy name is Amy Goldberg, and I’m 31 years old. I was born in the Bronx, New York, where my curiosity about human behavior and my passion for helping others began to take shape. This journey led me to pursue a degree in forensic psychology, which I earned in late 2022, along with a minor in forensic anthropology.
In 2010, I joined the Los Angeles Police Department, a decision that allowed me to immerse myself in law enforcement and community service. Over the next seven years, I worked my way up to the rank of Sergeant, gaining invaluable experience and honing my leadership skills. However, in September 2017, I decided to make a significant life change and relocated to Alaska to support my husband, a 17-year Army veteran, as he transitioned to his new duty station.
Once in Alaska, my commitment to helping others remained strong. In November 2017, I joined the search and rescue team with the Alaska State Troopers. This role allowed me to utilize my skills and training in critical situations, and it was incredibly fulfilling to be part of a team dedicated to saving lives.
In March 2021, I transitioned into the healthcare sector by joining BrightStar Care as a caregiver. This opportunity reignited my passion for serving others as I worked diligently to improve the lives of my clients. I eventually rose to the position of Client Service Manager, where I could make an even greater impact. After welcoming my son in the fall of 2022, I returned to BrightStar Care as a Patient Care Coordinator in the skilled nursing department. I find great joy in supporting patients and their families during crucial times in their lives.
Throughout my journey, I have remained committed to serving and helping others. Balancing my professional aspirations with my role as a mother and the wife of a dedicated veteran motivates me every day. I strive to make a meaningful difference in my community and continue to grow both personally and professionally.
