Brightstar Care was the only agency after talking to several other agencies that I felt I comfortable working with that met all my needs to have 24/7 post surgical care after a bilateral total knee replacement surgery. Day or night ,the caregivers who attended to my medical and non-medical needs were attentive, positive, willing to learn, and compassionate. My recovery wouldn’t have been so rapid if I hadn’t made the decision to hire the Brightstar Caregivers. Thank you to Anyelo, Rebeca, Dexter, Marisol , and Lauren.

I want to recognize the entire staff at Brightstar for becoming an important part of my family through the long extended care of my husband, Steve. Steve suffered from an incurable and progressive form of M.S. As his needs changed, I could always depend on the staff at Brightstar to provide the best care for him. I especially thank : Jennifer for running her company with the highest standards and taking a personal role in all of her clients and their families. Tonya Koeppel: For providing nursing information and answering my medical questions taking a lot of worry off of me. Dan Edward’s: Always compassionate and so eager to do his best. Dan helped me after Steve passed getting things in order such as taking down a curtain in the bedroom and removing the lock from our front door. Little things that meant so much to me. Kristine Thursday: Who was so professional in attending to Steve’s needs and also giving me emotional support. She attended Steve’s memorial service which meant so much to me. Sarah Bennett: Sarah brought so much positive energy into our home and always attended to details. Her medical knowledge and quick thinking insured transport and immediate admittance to Riverbend Hospital during a critical time. She also loved our kitty, Opie and became a part of our family. Melissa Ward: Along with office duties at Brightstar, Melissa also was a caregiver to Steve. Her calm and professional manner always gave me a secure feeling that Steve was being well cared for. She always answered questions and returned calls promptly McKenzie Dunn: McKenzie was with us for a short time, but then we met again at Riverbend Hospital where she worked as Steve’s CNA. She gave him extra care and ensured that Steve’s needs were addressed promptly and that he was comfortable. She also provided me with answers that helped me through a difficult time. Maria Contreras: Maria was an excellent care giver and had the ability to foresee any treatment needs that Steve might have been developing. She was observant and always stayed on top of any medical needs Steve might have. She too became a part of our family having my daughter take a picture of the three of us which I will always treasure. And finally, Audri Deleonguerteto-Bowditch who worked tirelessly in the Brightstar office as a scheduler making sure a caregiver would always be at our front door in the morning to help Steve. Life presents itself with constant change, difficult decisions and adaptations to what we could never imagine as our future. Thank you Brightstar for making this journey a little easier. BrightStar Care helped my grandmother feel safe and cared for in her final days. They gave our whole family peace of mind and let us sleep easy at night knowing they were there. We all especially enjoyed Marisol (SoSo). She was easy to be around, knew when to come check on my grandma and when to give us all space. One of my grandmas final words was “thank you soso!” Even in her dream state. Alice (Al) also brought us all comfort. Her heartfelt knowledge of how to maneuver my grandma and her kindness is something I will always remember. I appreciate those two so much!

Brightstar was able to get us folks quickly after pops broke his arm and needed 24 hour care. All of the care givers so far have been helpful like Breana H. who is keeping my dad company and making sure things are tidy all while being happy, cheerful and professional.

We really appreciate Brightstar caregivers who helped us care for my mom in her final month. We all especially liked Marisol. Her calm and skill with transferring and bathing tasks, made my mom feel comfortable and safe. Her friendly conversation was enjoyed by not only my mom, but also all the generations of my family who were there for visits, and we also appreciated the intuitive way SoSo knew when we wanted to have private family space. And she is experienced enough to give us good information about caring for our loved one as things progressed. Having SoSo care for mom gave us a lot of comfort. Thank you Brightstar!

The scheduling staff are very responsive to our needs. Our caregiver Muna is kind, patient, helpful, and a joy to be around. My mom is happy when she is here, and I feel confident she is in good hands while I am gone.

Doug was a wonderful care-giver for my husband for several weeks before his passing. He came to our first appointment with information about my husband's interests in an effort to make him feel comfortable. He played special music on his phone which my husband enjoyed to help him relax.. I was impressed with him going to that extra effort before he even met us. As he worked with my husband whether showering, dressing or helping in another way, he was always clear in explaining what he was doing. Doug always found other tasks to do when the personal care was finished which helped me in keeping the home in order. We are so thankful for the help he gave us during a difficult illness.
