I have advanced skills in cardiology, focusing on treatment of all heart-related illnesses, including pre-op as well as post-op cardiac bypass recovery.” In the Air Force, Ohms was deployed in support of the Iraq War, or Operation Iraqi Freedom. She led medical teams during combat flight operations to evacuate the wounded. She also provided critical nursing care to U.S. military, CIA and Special Forces, coalition troops and local civilian personnel. I use this in my approach with client care and staff development. I have also participated in numerous community-based programs and not-for-profit organizations.” Ohms’ versatility and passion shines at BrightStar. “I am passionate about BrightStar and excellence in care,” she said. “I ensure that our clients and their families receive the best care possible and that our home health care team is well-trained and supported in delivering on that promise.” Ohms makes sure to value clients as individuals and provide them with optimal care. “I believe in encouraging them to be the best they can be and to participate in their care,” she said of clients.
